I am a writer, social activist, extreme unicyclist, songwriter and human services professional. I share a home in the burbs of Brisbane, Australia with my husband and rescued greyhound (surrogate doghter), Senja. I grew up partly in England and partly on a small sailboat, travelling the world and I jumped ship at seventeen to become a theatre student in New York City. I have worked as a deckhand, actor, waiter, singer, youth worker, workshop facilitator and relationship counsellor. I describe myself as queer, which is as much a reflection of my unorthodox life and personal eccentricities as a marker of gender and sexuality. Chocolate Cake for the Brain is one of those eccentrities. Enjoy!
